2. Website delivery and server logs
When you access the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed, including your IP address, time of access, requested address, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating system. Processing is necessary to provide a secure and stable service and prevent abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Hosting and email services are provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Log data is retained only as long as required for operation, security or legal obligations.
3. Discord sign-in
Discord OAuth2 sign-in is voluntary. GridUnion requests only the identify scope and processes your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar, if available. This data is required for authentication, account display and attribution of community content. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Discord is provided by Discord Inc., 444 De Haro Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Data may be transferred to the United States and is additionally governed by Discord's privacy policy.
4. Session cookie
GridUnion uses a technically necessary encrypted session cookie for authentication, language selection and security. It is not used for advertising or audience measurement. Signed-in areas cannot work without it. Technically necessary cookies do not require consent.
5. Community content
When you create a profile, plan a race, write comments, manage teams, publish listings or upload images, the information you provide is stored to deliver those functions. Content marked as public is visible to other visitors. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; moderation and abuse prevention additionally rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Content is generally retained until you delete it, request deletion, or continued storage is required for moderation, legal claims or statutory obligations.
6. External media and links
Circuit images, logos, Discord avatars and linked content may load from third-party servers. This can disclose your IP address, access time and referrer to those providers. External websites are governed by their respective operators.
7. Your rights
Subject to legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Contact info@gridunion.net. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
8. Changes
This policy will be updated when functions, service providers or legal requirements change.
